CLEVELAND, OH - Funding for improvements to Quicken Loans Arena are getting closer to reality. .
On Monday night, Cleveland City Council approved using some taxpayer dollars for the renovations but there weren't enough "yes" votes to approve it as an emergency measure. It did; however, have enough support for passage. That means council will vote again next Monday for a final vote.
The funding has already been approved by the Cuyahoga County Council. The $140 million project will be paid for in part by the Cavs and from taxpayer dollars.
