(Cleveland) - St. Patrick's Day is normally one of the busiest days of the year for the RTA.
Trains were crowded today but the head count of riders taking transit downtown for the parade was significantly lower than previous years.
An RTA spokesman attributes the lower ridership to the cold weather and area colleges on spring break.
Still, there were thousands of people lining Superior Avenue for the parade, and lots of the wearin' of the green.
Parents took off from work, citing years of family tradition, and kids played hooky from school.
