MENTOR, OH - Talk about a Presidents Day unlike any other. On Monday, you can meet two former Presidents and a former First Lady here in Northeast Ohio. Well, they're historical reenactors, but it's all in good fun.
The James A. Garfield site in Mentor is free and open Monday. Former First Lady "Lucretia Garfield will take you back in time and guide you on a tour along with "Presidents Washington and Lincoln.“
"Presidents’ Day is one of our favorite holidays and busiest days here at James A. Garfield National Historic Site,” said Site Manager Todd Arrington in a statement on their website. “After all, what better place is there to spend Presidents’ Day than a presidential home? We invite everyone to stop by to learn about our Chief Executives and also have a little fun here on Presidents Day.”
The Site is a unit of the National Park Service that commemorates the life, career, and legacy of James Abram Garfield, twentieth President of the United States.
