5 Opiate Overdose Deaths in Cleveland Overnight

CLEVELAND, OH - Five people were killed in Cleveland overnight because of opiates.

Cleveland Police say they responded to 18 separate opiate related incidents. 20 victims were involved including 5 fatalities.

Northeast Ohio has been ground zero of sorts for opioid-related issues over the past year. Ohio U.S. Senator Rob Portman has said about 200,000 opioid addicts live in the state.
