(Cleveland) - A Cuyahoga County judge has sentenced 28-year old Shamanique Bryant to 10 years in prison after she ran over and killed a passenger who had been thrown from her vehicle.

Bryant pleaded guilty last month to aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault, DUI and failure to stop after an accident.

Prosecutors say the incident began outside a local bar in December, where Bryant's brother was shot and wounded.

Bryant, her brother and Mattie Stubbs then got into Bryant's car.  She struck another vehicle, tossing her brother and Stubbs from her car.  Bryant returned to the accident scene and ran over Stubbs.
