(Cleveland) – A candlelight vigil will be for Cory Barron at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at Fremont Ross High School.

Family friend Mike Dukeshire is organizing the vigil and said they will be taking donations for the Barron Family and there will be grief counselors on hand.

Donations can also be mailed to 1755 Celek Drive, Fremont, Ohio 43420.

Dukeshire told Newsradio WTAM 1100, since Fremont is such a small town, many people in the community knew Cory very well.

Churches are donating candles for the service, and participants can bring their own as well. He's urging attendees to wear Cory’s high school colors of purple and white.

Dukeshire said the family is trying to cope with this terrible tragedy. He explained that Cory's parents raised a wonderful young man who was going to be a difference-maker in the community.

Cory Barron was last seen Friday night at the Jason Aldean concert in downtown Cleveland.

An investigation is now underway to find out how Barron ended up dead at the Lorain County Landfill, hauled by a trash truck miles away from downtown.
