Television Legend Betty White Passes Away

Trailblazing television star Betty White has passed away. White, who was just three weeks away from her 100th birthday passed away today at her home in southern California.

Her legendary career spanned more than 8 decades and included starring roles in such hit shows as the 'Mary Tyler Moore Show and 'The Golden Girls.'

The Los Angeles Police Department says it responded to a call of a natural death investigation at a home in the Brentwood community of southern California.

White's career started in 1939. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois January 17, 1922, just outside of Chicago.
