President Trump accepted an invitation to speak at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on July 24.
The original dinner on April 25, 2026, was interrupted by a shooter targeting Trump administration officials.
Trump announced his participation on Truth Social, emphasizing the event's rescheduling as a sign of strength and fortitude.
Weijia Jiang, president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, invited Trump to attend and speak at the event, which will include "significantly enhanced safety measures."
The rescheduled dinner will be held at the Waldorf Astoria on Pennsylvania Avenue, a building Trump noted he built.
