The Minnesota Twins evened up their series against the Cleveland Guardians with a 4-1 win at Progressive Field. Matt Wallner broke a 1-1 tie with an RBI single in the top of the fifth, and Willi Castro extended Minnesota's lead with a two-run homer in the eighth. Cole Sands earned his ninth win in relief, while Griffin Jax picked up his ninth save. The Twins remain a game-and-a-half ahead of Detroit for the final AL Wild Card spot at 80-and-71. Lane Thomas went deep in the losing effort, while Gavin Williams was charged with his tenth loss after allowing two runs on five hits in five innings. The Guardians still have a five-game lead over Kansas City in the AL Central race.
