The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Indiana Pacers, 108-104, to snap a three-game losing streak.
After struggling in the second halves of recent games, the Cavs overcame an 11-point third quarter deficit and took the lead for good with Kevin Love’s jumper put the team ahead 92-90 with 10:10 remaining. Evan Mobley had a team-high 24 points with nine rebounds, and Jarrett Allen had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. They outscored the Pacers in the paint 58-24, and out-rebounded the Pacers 48-40.
The Cavs either tied or outscored the Pacers in every quarter, and won despite a 32-point, 13-rebound effort from Pacers' forward Domantas Sabonis. The Cavs also overcame 19 Pacers' three-pointers compared to the Cavs' six.
The Cavs improve to 21-16 and will host the Memphis Grizzlies (23-14) on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. The Grizzlies won the season opener between these teams, 132-121, in Memphis.
