The Cleveland Orchestra cancelled its two concerts on Sunday due to a positive COVID-19 test among the musicians. The two were part of 12 scheduled Holiday Concerts in December, and the Cleveland Orchestra’s first performances at Severance Hall since the pandemic began in March 2020.

The Cleveland Orchestra released a statement on its website explaining the decision to cancel, and options for ticket-holders. The two cancelled concerts were the last ones scheduled until January 6th, 2022

It is not the only entertainment venue to cancel concerts recently due to COVID cases. Broadway has also cancelled several performances in response to breakthrough cases, including 'Moulin Rouge! the Musical!,' 'Hamilton,' and 'MJ the Musical.'
