The Cleveland Browns defeated the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, 24-22, to even the season series between these teams. Offensively, Baker Mayfield accounted for both touchdowns with passes to Jarvis Landry and Austin Hooper.

Defensively, Myles Garrett recorded his 15th sack this season, setting a franchise-record for sacks in a season during a strip-sack and fumble return for a touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the first half to extend the Browns’ lead to 24-3.

The Browns did not score again, and nearly squandered the lead despite the Ravens missing starting quarterback, Lamar Jackson, for most of the game due to an ankle injury.

Ahead 24-15 with 1:17 left, the Browns surrendered a touchdown, then an onside kick. However, the defense forced a turnover on downs to hold off the Ravens, and remain in the playoff hunt.

The Browns improve to 7-6 – one game behind the Ravens at 8-5, and hold second place in the AFC North via a head-to-head tiebreaker against the 7-6 Cincinnati Bengals, which lost to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

The Browns will host the Las Vegas Raiders (6-7) on Saturday, December 18th at 4:30 PM.
