A House Democrat is introducing a bill that would block Donald Trump from potentially being named House Speaker.
It's an idea that has gained some traction recently - that if Republicans managed to re-take the House in the 2022 midterms, they could install Trump as Speaker.
Technically, there's no rule against it - the idea was even mentioned by Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz at a Trump rally earlier this month.
But PA Rep. Brendan Boyle is introducing a bill that would close that loophole by requiring that the Speaker be a current House member.
