Indians Defeat Texas Rangers, 10-1 in Second to Last Spring Game

The Indians defeated the Texas Rangers, 10-1, on Monday night in Arlington’s Globe Life Park. 

ERIC STAMETS’ grand slam, his first of the spring, in the 4th inning broke a scoreless tie. It was a night of big hits, as GREG ALLEN wrapped a bases-clearing, three-run double in the top of the 8th and KEVIN PLAWECKI connected for a two-run homer in the 9th.

CARLOS CARRASCO (5.2IP, 5H, 1R/ER, 0BB, 4SO) threw well into the 6th inning as OLIVER PÉREZ, ADAM CIMBER, DAN OTERO and JAMES KARINCHAK added scoreless outings.

The Indians will conclude exhibition play on Tuesday, March 26 as RHP MIKE CLEVINGER make his final spring start vs. LHP DREW SMYLY for the Rangers. The game can be heard on Indians.com.
