Kipnis Walk-Off Grand Slam Wins It For Tribe

(Cleveland, OH)  --  Jason Kipnis drilled the walk-off grand slam in the ninth inning to lead the Indians past the White Sox 4-1 at Progressive Field.  Kipnis recorded his 1,000th career hit and Oliver Perez got the win as Cleveland improved to 85-and-66.  

Carlos Carrasco struck out 11 batters and held Chicago to one run across six-and-two-third innings in a no-decision.  

Daniel Palka went deep in the sixth to give the White Sox a 1-0 lead.  Caleb Frare took the loss for Chicago, which dropped to 59-and-92.
