Indians Win With Grand Slam Against Royals...AGAIN

On the Eve of July 4th, the Indians had to work hard to secure the victory against the Kansas City Royals ___________ in game two of a three game series. The Yan Gomes grand slam in the top of 6th was the difference as that put the Indians up for good.

The Gomes grand slam greatly helped Shane Bieber who had his worst outing in the majors as he gave up four runs after two innings. However, Bieber still found himself up after six innings and is now 4-0 for the Indians.

With the Tribe win, Cody Allen gained his 17th save of the season and has tied the franchise record for saves.

Indians and Royals will conclude their series Wednesday night. Trevor Bauer will start for Cleveland. Ian Kennedy was scheduled to start but he has been placed on the DL with a strained left oblique since June 30th. Kansas City has not announced a replacement.
