Wrestlemania Should be Two Nights Long

CLEVELAND--The three-four week run in March & April between March Madness and Wrestlemania season is my favorite time of the year. Monday and Tuesday nights in March on the Road to Wrestlemania is typically at fever pitch and March Madness is just a non-stop experience. Yes, Super Bowl Sunday is all about prop-bets, the parties and hopefully the game, the Masters is a tradition unlike any other and the World Series is truly the Fall Classic. But there is nothing like Wrestlemania!

Wrestlemania weekend consists of NXT Takeover, WWE Hall of Fame and Wrestlemania Sunday. In the WWE Network era, Wrestlemania has become a 12-15 match marathon that has made the once enjoyable a chore to take in. Below is the expected card for Mania 35:

That's 17 scheduled (or soon to be scheduled) matches for the Grandest Stage of them All. And while I love wrestling as much as the next person which is why I will be attending Wrestlemania 35 in Metlife Stadium just outside of New York City, that's too much in one night. I understand that every wrestler needs to compete but here's how I would handle Wrestlemania Weekend and beyond.

Move WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony to Summerslam Weekend

If there is an event that could be better used somewhere else, its the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Ask Goldberg how his induction speech went when he was honored in front of an empty crowd.

Goldberg Hall of Fame Speech

Do what other sports do which is announce all the inductees at Wrestlemania and hold the ceremony during Summerslam weekend. That would add an extra event to Summerslam and it could be held at a smaller outdoor venue to give it a different feel.

NXT Takeover (Friday Night)

Takeover is fine where it's at on Friday night.
