Many working people know the Sunday night feeling of not wanting to go back to work the next morning, but a new survey of 3,000 working people in the U.S. by LinkedIn shows that 66 percent have the “Sunday scaries” every week.
The phrase refers to stress and anxiety felt on Sunday night ahead of the workweek, with the most affected seeming to be younger workers; 78 percent of that group say Sunday work stress is a problem.
According to LinkedIn Career job expert Catherine Fisher, it’s not as bad as it sounds, and it doesn’t necessarily mean you need a new job. She suggests building an action plan on Sunday night for the workweek or planning something to look forward to for your Monday.
