Just because you’ve got a playoff-caliber team, it doesn’t mean fans will flock to see them. And once again, the Tampa Bay Rays are proving that.
Even though the Rays have the best record in the American League East, they’re still struggling to put butts in the seats. Case in point is Monday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.
The total announced attendance was 5,460...that’s their lowest since they started playing at Tropicana Field…and the fifth lowest in in the history of the game.
