No More Prosecutions Of Prostitution In Manhattan

Prostitution cases will no longer be prosecuted in Manhattan, New York.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. is also asking a New York state judge to vacate nearly 6,000 bench warrants for the crime and dismiss associated cases dating all the way back to 1976.

All of the cases had a top charge of prostitution, unlicensed massage or loitering for the purpose of prostitution.

The new policy is a first of its' kind policy in the state.
