Disney Offers Disclaimer Before Muppets Broadcasts

Just about anything, these days, can be construed as offensive, including The Muppets.

Disney is now offering a disclaimer to anyone streaming the show which warns of offensive content.

The company released five seasons of the show Friday featuring Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, the Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie and others as part of the $6.99 a month streaming service.

The disclaimer warns, in part, 'This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures.'

It goes on to state 'these stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now.' Disney did not say what content it specifically deems offensive.
