Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is asking Ohioans to cut-back on their social interactions for the foreseeable future.
DeWine made the statement in a Tweet today as the COVID-19 surge continues statewide.
The latest 24 hour reporting period for new coronavirus cases came in this afternoon at 7,268.
There have now been at least 305,364 cases of COVID-19 reported in Ohio since the start of the pandemic with the illness claiming 5,742 lives.
Governor DeWine also said this is not about 'shutting down but slowing down' as the coronavirus numbers continue to climb.
