Orkin – the pest control company – has released its Top 50 Rattiest Cities List, and for the sixth consecutive time? Sorry Chi-town, the Windy City takes the top spot. “Rodents are experts at sniffing out food and shelter, and they’re resilient in their ways to obtain both,” says Orkin entomologistBen Hottel. “Residential properties offer the ideal habitat for rodents, and once they’ve settled in, they’re capable of reproducing rapidly and in large quantities.”
But new to the Top 10 this year is Baltimore, at the eighth spot, and moving into the Top 20 is San Diego, rising 13 spots to crawl into the #19 position. Cleveland just missed out on the top-10, coming in at Number-11!
The bottom five cities on the list are Orlando, Burlington, Albuquerque, Dayton and West Palm Beach.
