Three Cleveland women suffered pure terror for more than a decade inside the home of Ariel Castro before they ultimately gained their freedom in May of 2013.
Tonight at 6, one of those victims, Amanda Berry, joins the 'Mike Trivisonno Show' on Newsradio WTAM 1100.
Berry, along with Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, were kidnapped by Castro and suffered years of torment inside Castro's home on Seymour Avenue on Cleveland's near west side.
Berry was lured into Castro's van on April 21, 2003, a day before her 17th birthday, while she walked home following her shift at a west side Burger King. She would spend ten years captive along with DeJesus and Knight inside Castro's home.
Berry was able to free herself from captivity in May of 2013 and get the help needed to gain freedom for all three of the young women.
Berry gave birth to a daughter while held against her will. DNA testing determined Castro was the father.
Castro ultimately pleaded guilty to kidnapping and rape in the case and was sentenced to life in prison plus 1000 years without the possibility of parole.
Castro was found dead in his prison cell in September of 2013, as he had taken his own life.
Berry and DeJesus grew closer together following their ordeal and published a book together in 2015 titled: 'Hope: A Memoir of Survival in Cleveland.'
Berry is now employed by Fox-8 News where she does regular segments on missing persons.
