It's hard enough to date during a pandemic but now it looks like humans are going to have to compete with dolls for attention.
The next generation of sex dolls are a hot commodity thanks to the coronavirus. A new, eerily realistic “sex robot” that can blink, smile, moan, get goosebumps and hold a conversation has been flying off the shelves since the coronavirus struck. The dolls look and feel like humans.
Since the pandemic, the Florida-based company that makes these dolls saw orders spike by more than 51% during February and March, when lockdowns began in the US and other countries. The high-end dolls, who come complete with a full body and equipped with artificial intelligence, start at around $6,000 but can go as high as $8,000.
