Blood type might have an impact on how bad someone gets COVID-19.
A report in the New England Journal of Medicine this week looked at thousands of COVID-19 patients in Europe and found that those with Type A blood were 45-percent more likely to develop severe symptoms while people with Type O were 35-percent less likely.
Researchers say the link is tentative but it does match reports out of China. The study also found gene variants that helped determine the severity of illness from the virus.
