Former Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy DiMora has a shot at early release.
DiMora was sentenced to 28 years in a federal penitentiary following his 2012 convictions on dozens of corruption-related charges while in office.
A federal judge has now ordered the Federal Correction Institute at Elkton, where DiMora is housed, to start identifying medically vulnerable inmates who could be released due to the spread of coronavirus at the prison.
DiMora is believed to be suffering from medical issues. The sixty-five year old could receive home release.
