So Jacksonville, Florida had opened their beaches last week and despite the pictures showing thousands of people flocking to them (most of the "meme" photographs you saw used old beach photos) there really weren't many people who showed up.
Nevertheless, police made an arrest on the beach Sunday and no, it had nothing to do with violating social distancing rules. They just happened to find one 31-year-old Matthew Gatti who was wanted for murder in Pennsylvania.
The Jacksonville Beach Police Department says officers were patrolling the beach to ensure people were complying with regulations when they spotted Gatti loitering suspiciously near some dunes and identified him as a fugitive. He faces charges including criminal homicide, burglary, making terroristic threats, and illegal possession of a firearm.
