A first has played out at the Bronx Zoo in New York in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
Zoo leaders say a four year old Malayan tiger named Nadia has tested positive for COVID-19.
The zoo says it is the first case of human to cat transmission.
Nadia started feeling sick March 27 before it was determined she had the virus, contracted by a zoo employee.
Several other tigers and lions have shown signs of respiratory illness in light of Nadia's case. The Bronx Zoo houses 6,000 animals. It's been closed since March 16.
