Major League Baseball has suspended Spring Training and delayed the state of the season due to concerns over the Coronavirus.
The Cleveland Indians were scheduled to open up March 26 against the Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field. The season will be delayed by at least two weeks.
MLB will continue to evaluate ongoing events leading up to the start of the season.
MLB and the clubs have been preparing a variety of contingency plans in light of the Covid-19 virus that has been deemed a pandemic by the World Health Organization.
