Some harmless fun by former L-S-U star and Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham may not have turned out to be harmless fun at all.
An arrest warrant for Beckham has been issued in New Orleans.
Beckham is seen in the locker room following L-S-U's 42-25 National Championship win over Clemson slapping the rear-end of a police officer during the Tigers post-game celebration.
A 'simply battery' warrant, sought by the New Orleans Police Department, was signed Thursday morning by a judge.
Beckham has already drawn the ire of many in 'Tiger Nation' after he was videotaped handing L-S-U players cash during the on-field celebration after the game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Monday evening.
The school has been in contact with the NCAA and the S-E-C regarding any possible ramifications the University may face since cash to a student-athlete is considered an impermissible benefit under NCAA rules.
