An Ohio boy has made the state of Louisiana proud yet again. Athens native and Ohio State graduate transfer Joe Burrow tossed for 463-yards and accounted for six touchdowns as his LSU Tigers tripped up the Clemson Tigers 42-25 to win the College Football National Championship.
The 2019 Heisman Trophy winner led LSU to three, unanswered touchdowns with both his arm and legs after LSU trailed Clemson by ten points in the second quarter.
Burrow is expected to be the top player taken in this year's National Football League Draft. The pick is currently owned by the Cincinnati Bengals.
