The unthinkable happened when a cancer patient, undergoing surgery in Romania, caught fire on the operating table.
The 66-year old woman passed away from her injuries suffered when an alcohol based disinfectant, used during the procedure, was ignited by an electrical scalpel.
The unidentified woman was suffering from pancreatic cancer and suffered burns to 40-percent of her body, burns which ultimately caused her death.
Police are now investigating the circumstances leading to her death.
Romania is believed to spend the least amount of money on its' health care system than any other E-U country.
