The Ohio Supreme Court has re-instated the law license of James Burge, a former Lorain County judge who was suspended from practicing six months ago.
Burge's license was yanked in part due to a history of judicial misconduct and a criminal conviction.
Burge was put under scrutiny after acquitting a man of rape in 2012 because he believed the man did not penetrate the 14 year old victim deep enough.
Burge admitted during a disciplinary hearing that he chose to find the man guilty of gross sexual imposition rather than the more severe rape charge.
