We may now know a little more as to what triggered Browns Defensive End Myles Garrett's actions last week when he hit Steelers QB Mason Rudolph in the head with Rudolph's own helmet.
ESPN reports Garrett claimed during his appeals hearing Wednesday in New York City that Rudolph used a racial slur just prior to the brawl that broke out at the end of the Browns 21-7 victory over the Steelers on Thursday Night Football.
The Pittsburgh QB strongly denies the accusation. Garrett is awaiting a ruling on the indefinite suspension with which he has been hit.
