The Cleveland Cavaliers and Cavs fans are mourning the loss of longtime television play-by-play man Fred McLeod.
Fred passed away suddenly Monday evening. McLeod was born and raised in Strongsville before attending Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA.
Fred recently celebrated his 36th season broadcasting games.
He spent 22 years calling Detroit Pistons games and was to embark on his 14th consecutive season calling Cavs games on Fox Sports Ohio.
McLeod had been the Cavaliers voice since 2006 along with his analyst, legendary Cavalier Austin Carr.
Fred's resume included time calling Detroit Lions games and Detroit Tigers games.
McLeod leaves behind his wife Beth, mother Marlyn, sister Lynn and his three children, Sean, Jenna and Molly.
