New York City Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo is being fired for his role in the 2014 death of Eric Garner.
Pantaleo was accused of recklessly using force by choke hold which led to Garner's death in Staten Island in July, 2014.
Pantaleo used the force in an effort to take Garner into custody.
Garner ultimately went into cardiac arrest while being restrained and never regained consciousness.
Garner's death was ruled a homicide but a grand jury decided against charges for officer Pantaleo.
