Gay Penguins Hope To Become Parents

Two gay penguins at the Berlin Zoo have adopted an egg with hopes of becoming parents.

The 10-year old male penguins, Skipper and Ping, adopted the egg after the zoo's lone female penguin abandoned it.

According to zoo leaders, Skipper and Ping arrived at the Berlin Zoo in April and have been inseparable ever since.

They each take turns keeping the egg warm by nestling it in their feet and warming it with their belly fat.

It's unknown if the egg is fertilized but if so, it's expected to hatch in September.
