Elvis Artifacts Headed To Auction

If you are an Elvis Presley fan, you could soon own a piece of the King's history. Kruse GWS Auctions is auctioning off the legendary car Elvis drove during his first staring movie role in the film 'Loving You'.

The 'Elvis Roadster', as it has been dubbed, will be auctioned off August 31 at the Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood beginning at 10am Pacific Time.

The car was custom designed and built by hot-rodding pioneer John Athan in 1937. Athan was the only owner of the car. He passed away in 2016.

His 89 year old wife will help sell the vehicle during the auction. Elvis made the car a star in 'Loving You' and gave it the nickname of the 'Elvis Roadster'.

The auction will also feature other Presley-related items including his personal white 1973 Lincoln Continental stretch limo, the last motorcycle he ever bought, a Circle G Ranch GMC pick-up truck and a 1976 Harley Davidson FLH 1200 Electra Glide.

Bidders can bid online, over the phone or in person at the Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood. To register for the auction, log on to www.gwsauctions.com.
