Cuyahoga County retailers are trying to determine what a new ban on single-use plastic bags will mean for their businesses.
Cuyahoga County Council approved a measure last week that will outlaw the use of the items starting on January 1.
Heinen's Grocery store owner, Jeff Heinen, says the switch to paper bags from plastic will cost his business about $2 million dollars a year.
Heinen owns 11 grocery stores in Cuyahoga County.
He admits plastic is a concern environmentally but doesn't believe getting rid of plastic bags will solve the problem.
