Republican Congressman Justin Amash is defending his claim that President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.
As we told you before, he recently launched a tweetfest laying out his view of the Mueller Report.
Now, he’s doubling down – at a town hall meeting in Grand Rapids, where the Michigan representative said he was appalled by the conduct in the portion of the Mueller Report that deals with obstruction of justice.
As he sees it, Amash said Congress needs to do its job and not allow misconduct to go undeterred.
He noted that the process of impeachment is difficult and just because the impeachment process starts, doesn't mean it ends with Congress removing someone from office.
The people assembled apparently like what they heard – as Amash scored a standing ovation.
