Case Closed In The Russia Probe

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has closed the Russia investigation and has also announced his retirement from the Justice Department, wrapping up his two year appointment overseeing the Russian probe.

With the case now closed, Mueller reiterated to reporters Wednesday, in Washington, that there was not enough evidence to prove there was a conspiracy with Russia's interference into the 2016 election.

Mueller also said "if we had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.' Muller went on to say 'we did not determine whether the President did commit a crime.'

Mueller also said Justice Department guidelines prohibited him from charging President Trump with a crime in connection with the Russia probe. Mueller said charging President Trump was 'not an option we could consider.'
