(Washington D.C.) - President Trump continues to take General Motors to task.
The President, who will make a fundraiser appearance this week in Canton, says there is a need to re-open GM's Lordstown plant which closed earlier this month.
Trump also wants General Motors to nix plans to close several other factories in North America.
GM says it is doing so due to slowing demand for traditional sedans.
General Motors CEO Mary Barra says the future of the factories will be determined during talks on a new, four year contract with the United Auto Workers which are slated to begin in the summer.
President Trump says "Why wait?" "Start them now!" Trump is urging GM to re-open the Lordstown facility or sell it to a company who will re-open it "fast!"
