The NFL has suspended Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt for the first 8 games of the season.
Hunt is on the sidelines without pay for his actions more than a year ago at a downtown Cleveland hotel where video shows him kicking a woman during a dispute.
Hunt was then a member of the Kansas City Chiefs who ultimately released the Willoughby native in November.
The Browns signed Hunt in February. Hunt apologizes for his behavior and says he respects the league's decision on the disciplinary action taken against him.
