The day hunters from all edges of the state have waited for is here. Ohio's deer-gun season got underway today.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says firearms can be used from just before sunrise to just after sunset through December 2 and December 15 and December 16.
Hunters statewide can bag up to six deer, but just one antlered animal. Nearly 22,400 deer were harvested during day-1 of Ohio's deer-gun season last year.
