(Independence) - The Mike Trivisonno Show's 'Flip LeBron The Bird' turkey drive promotion was a smashing success Monday.
More than 14,00 pounds of turkey were collected and, in total, nearly $20,000 in turkeys, non-perishable goods and cash were donated to the event which played out from noon till 6pm Monday in the parking lot of our iHeart Media studios.
A huge thanks goes out to our listeners and sponsors for the event including iHop, and Kenneth Wolnik, DDS in Parma Heights.
Another big thanks goes out to the Hard Rock Rocksino at Northfield Park which dropped off 76 turkeys which were donated by their own employees.
All of the turkeys, cash and non-perishable goods were immediately taken to St. Augustine Hunger Center in Tremont which plans to feed upwards of 21,000 people on Thanksgiving day.
