The dangers of smoking are known worldwide, you would like to think. But in Canada, there is an effort afoot to further get the word out.
A 'constitutional process' is underway up north which is exploring the possibility of putting a cancer warning label on every cigarette, as opposed to just on the pack they come in.
A senior policy analyst with the Canadian Cancer Society views this as a logical step. The World Health Organization reports that tobacco use kills about 7-million people each year around the globe.
