A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll shows President Trump's approval rating continues to trend upward ahead of the November elections.
According to the poll, Trump's approval rating has jumped higher than former President Barack Obama's ahead of the 2010 midterm vote.
The poll indicates Trump's approval rating checks in at 47-percent compared to Obama's 45-percent approval rating around the same time in 2010.
Trump has been a historically unpopular leader among the general population in the U.S. but has a high approval rating among Republicans with his rating checking in at about 90-percent.
