Study: Most Americans Can't Pass Citizenship Test

There's a new study out that surprisingly indicates that most Americans can not pass a U.S. Citizenship test.

The report, from the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation finds that just 36 percent of Americans would pass the test.

With a passing grade of 60, only 13 percent of people knew the year the Constitution was ratified (1788) and 57 percent of people do not know how many Justices sit on the U.S. Supreme Court.

The study also shows that 72 percent of respondents either incorrectly identified or were unsure of the 13 original states.

Age played a role in the survey as well.  Those over 65 fared the best .  Seventy-four percent were able to correctly answer at least six of ten questions while only 19 percent under 45 could pass the test.
