Temperatures well into the nineties, Tuesday, forced several school districts to cancel classes. Kids in 18 Cleveland Metropolitan Schools had the day off because of the sweltering conditions.
Students in the Euclid Schools, the Parma DistrIct and children in the Bedford Schools also had the day off with an expected heat index at 98 degrees Tuesday.
Administrators in various districts say the high temperatures create almost impossible learning conditions in buildings which do not have air conditioning.
